SaberPack

The first product SaberPack produced was AL-55. This product was developed as an enhanced quality alternate to Sydeline Lucor LA50. Lucor had been the industry leading standard since Sydeline Corporation began producing LA50 in the 1970’s. Although Lucor LA50 was as good as it had ever been the needs of the glass industry continued to evolve to ever more stringent requirements and a higher performance separating powder was required. SaberPack was founded in 2001 with a focus on producing the highest quality, best performing interleaving powder available anywhere, without exception. AL-55 was the first step.

During the following years SaberPack worked with major glass producers throughout the world to develop a variety of innovative interleaving powders which are also sometimes referred to as interleavant powder. SaberPack produces both adipic acid and boric acid based interleavant powder designed to prevent glass surface corrosion of float glass as well as interleavant media for coated glass products.

SaberPack separating powders are clearly superior, produced to exacting quality standards for size, moisture content, flow characteristics and surface dispersion, creating a product consistency that allows glass manufactures to use less powder per square meter while simultaneously achieving the best stain and scratch protection. SaberPack’s interleaving powders actually save their customers money.

SaberPack’s Teknapack division also produces glass edge protection products for the international market. SaberPack operates from offices conveniently located on the north side of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, in the suburban community of Lino Lakes.
